Solution How to publish my site using FrontPage

There are three ways to publish your site using FrontPage

1. The regular http:// method
This is the normal way of publishing a web site using FrontPage. In order to publish your web site using this method you must update your domain name severs. And once your domain name is propagated to our DNS you can use this method to upload/publish your website using FrontPage. On your FrontPage, Go to File > Publish Web and on the destination URL type your website address (http://www.yoursite.com) make sure you add http:// and when prompts enter your username and password. and you will log in

2. FTP method

Assuming you have changed your domain name severs to our DNS and your domain is pointing to our severs, you can also use the FTP method to upload/publish your web site. Its pretty easy. On your FrontPage, Go to File > Publish Web and on the destination URL type your website address in FTP format (ftp://www.yoursite.com/public_html) make sure you add ftp:// instead of http:// and also in addition to your primary URL you should add the exact path you need to upload your files to. Usually its the "public_html" folder on your sever. and when prompts enter your username and password. and you will log in.

3. Using your IP address

You can use your web site's IP address to login to your hosting account using FrontPage. This method is useful specially when you don't have your domain name pointing towards our DNS or when you haven't updated your domain name severs. But please note that when using this method FrontPage Extensions may not work properly. You need a valid domain name pointing to ours severs/DNS for FP extensions to work correctly. However you can access your hosting account using FrontPage. Please follow these instructions,

On your FrontPage, Go to File > Publish Web and on the destination URL type your website address in FTP format using your IP address since you don't have a domain name (ftp://www.66.574.8.67/public_html) make sure you add ftp:// instead of http:// and also in addition to your IP address you should add the exact path you need to upload your files to. Usually its the "public_html" folder on your sever. and when prompts enter your username and password. and you will log in
